Hello Mason,
My apologies for the delay in response.
The default behavior is - any Roles you create in Dynamics CRM will be pushed out and synchronized with The Portal Connector when users are assigned the role.
For the other issue, I observed that there is a request with TPC Support. You should be able to receive an email soon.
