Configuring the Power BI Embed Widget in PortalConnector 6.0+

Here are different ways of configuring the Portal Connector Power BI widget.

Publish to Web Report

With Power BI Online, you can easily embed interactive Power BI visualizations onto The Portal Connector using Publish to web option.

The Publish to web provides a link that needs to be defined in The Portal Connector Power BI Embed widget to embed the report on the portal site.

App Report

To configure the widget to view an App Report:

  1. Drag the Power BI Embed widget onto a page.
  2. Open the designer, select “App Report”.
  3. Select the Power BI Application.
  4. Select the Workspace where your Report is saved.
  5. Select the desired Report.
  6. Save changes and publish the page.

App Dashboard

  1. Select the Power BI Application.
  2. Select the Workspace where your Report is saved.
  3. Select the desired Dashboard.
  4. Save changes and publish the page.

  1. Select the Power BI Application.
