   If i map a CRM Text Field on CRM Portal Form will it get all the metadata from CRM like maxlength of a text field ?

   Yes, the CRM Text Field pulls from the CRM metadata to specify the maximum length of the widget based on the CRM maximum field length. This can only be set once in Sitefinity for CRM Text Fields, if you wish to resize a CRM Text Field length then you must recreate the widget on the page.
